Tucson is home to one of the largest collections of photographic estates in the country including the estate of Ansel Adams which is housed at the Center for Contemporary Photography. The Maynard Dixon Museum featured numerous vintage Dorothea Lange photos, Maynard Dixon’s second wife was Dorothea Lange and was good friends with Ansel Adams who took numerous photographs of Maynard Dixon and Edith Hamlin. The Arizona State Museum has a large collection of Edward Curtis photographs on exhibit and Medicine Man Gallery had numerous Edward Curtis photographs for sale.
